- In the same way the tongue is a small member and yet has great pretensions. Consider how small a fire can set a huge forest ablaze. The tongue is also a fire. It exists among our members as a world of malice, defiling the whole body and setting the entire course of our lives on fire, itself set on fire by Gehenna. James 3:5-6

- God stays in His themes. As I listened to Ryan get his feelings hurt because Seth was teasing him I recognized the same hurt that plagued a friend of mine today over something that was said, though not out of malice, yet it still hurt. Today’s lesson was a deeper understanding of recognizing that not only can we ‘see’ things differently and we need to take time to ‘look’ at a situation through the sight of the other person but we need to take into context when things are said though it might be ‘nothing’ to one person it could fringe upon another person’s feelings.

- Despite the uncomfortable ‘in your face’ of this lesson the day was a blessing. I think I’m closer to finding my mojo again. 😉 I sat down and wrote which felt so good. I want to finish it and figure out what God has in store for Sophie (the main character) and her adventures of recognizing the good and evil in her life. And I met a new friend that was able to share her own stories of ‘God moments’ that made the hair stand on my neck. I love hearing how God moves.

- I think I’ve found an opening in that bag that’s had me gasping for breath, it’s not yet wide enough to let me free but I’m working diligently at getting there. 😉
