Good evening! Tonight is the school’s Christmas Journey and we are due to be there in just about 30 minutes. I’m very excited to attend this year because it is the first time the school has a ‘band’ and my son, Seth, is in the band playing trumpet. They will do a performance for 8 minutes (ha! 8 minutes, too funny) in the beginning.
I love today’s meditation and reading…NEVER give up! NEVER lose faith! HAVE COURAGE and NEVER DOUBT GOD! 🙂 Funny, today when I took the boys to see Megamind and we watched the opening movie trailors they showed clips from Justin Beber’s new ‘autobiography’ movie. I barely know who he is except that Ryan loathes him (I think he’s jealous)… but I was shocked at my interest. It was showcasing some home videos of him as a 2-3 yr old playing music, singing and I’m guessing it’ll show how he got to be where he is today. This stuff always interests me…but what really hit me was in the end of the trailor he’s telling his thousands of fans that when someone tells you to give up, don’t listen NEVER NEVER GIVE UP. (or something to that effect) and that is the name of his movie. What struck me was that it was inspiring. Made me want to see the movie (shhh don’t tell Ryan). 😉
Then I read today’s meditation. I think God is just giving us all kinds of signs to say ‘Hey, I’m HERE…always, forever, never going anywhere and you can do GREAT THINGS if you follow me.”
LOVE IT. 🙂
So now I’m going to go watch my kids and their buds do great things proclaiming the coming of our Lord!

Thursday of the
Third Week of Advent
Readings: Is 54:1-10; Lk 7:24-30
Though the mountains leave their place
and the hills be shaken,
My love shall never leave you
nor my covenant of peace be shaken,
says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
Is 54:10
Have the courage to dare with God! Try it! Do not be
afraid of him! Have the courage to risk with faith! Have
the courage to risk with goodness! Have the courage to risk
with a pure heart! Commit yourselves to God, then you will
see that it is precisely by doing so that your life will become
broad and light, not boring but filled with infinite surprises,
for God’s infinite goodness is never depleted!
