I am SO EXCITED to announce that we officially made the December Mini-Mag “Giving” Issue with Red Rover Style.  It will be released tomorrow, Monday, December 20th.  To view the mini-mag go to www.redroverstyle.com  visit their Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/#!/redroverstyle)  or if you’d rather follow on twitter (http://twitter.com/redroverstyle). The more exposure we can get for EXPOSED and the MARIA GORETTI NETWORK the better!  So please copy and paste this portion of the blog and email all of your friends! 🙂

The trip to Longview to attend the Maria Goretti Network meeting was fabulous.  It seems odd I would say that about attending an abuse survivor meeting but what this trip did for me was validate my current calling and the discernment that has led me to make some very hard decisions.  One thing I know for certain is when I am on the ‘right track’ God lets me know by this feeling He gives me.  This ‘lightness’ in my chest…like being free and anxious to fly through the opened door and explore the vast space of untouched ministry that He is calling me into.

I love it.  🙂

I wish I could share more about the meeting, but it is sacred to the privacy of those who attend and even how it is run.  I will say this, it is like a family…a family that ‘gets’ you regardless of your story.  It is a place where those that are married to abuse survivors can attend to show support as well and begin to understand a little bit more about the intricate web that is weaved around our minds and hearts when an abuse has been committed (any form of abuse forms the web).  And it is a place to learn how to forgive.    *sigh*  So beautiful. 🙂

Fourth Sunday of Advent

Readings: Is 7:10-14; Rom 1:1-7; Mt 1:18-24

Through him we have received the grace of apostleship, to

bring about the obedience of faith, for the sake of his name,

among all the Gentiles, among whom are you also, who are

called to belong to Jesus Christ; to all the beloved of God in

Rome, called to be holy.

Rm 1:6-7a

The world needs God—not just any god but the God of

Jesus Christ, the God who made himself flesh and blood,

who loved us to the point of dying for us, who rose and created

within himself room for man.
