There is no easy way to get ready to head out of town for two weeks when you are leaving behind two boys that are in their pre-teen and teen years. They begin school exactly one week from today while I’m gone AND my husband is going out of town this weekend to a wedding so I have to get a college sitter to be here all weekend. Not only have I been scrambling to figure out everything the sitter might need to know but ALSO prepare my husband for the week and 1/2 that he has alone with them as well. Thank GOD they are starting school during all of this because WHAT ELSE would he do?? 🙁
I’m very excited to embarq on this pilgrimage but I will say it is in these last hours before we leave that I get anxious leaving my family. God help us all…..
In 3 hours I leave for the airport and pray that all 30 of us on this pilgrimage get checked in and through security without any issues. Already I’ve received an email from our travel agent that the tour guide we were to meet in France suffered a stroke yesterday!!! 🙁 He is only 50. His name is Rudy Ulian so please keep him and his family in your prayers. They have already provided another tour guide so all is well. I just feel bad for this poor man.
It is my desire to take pictures and find a way to chronicle the adventures and hopefully spiritual enlightenment of this pilgrimage as I go. So be sure to SUBSCRIBE for my blog updates that will be emailed directly to you. (Go to the right of my Home Page and click ‘Subscribe‘).
I will keep all of you in my prayers and I pray you do the same for me and the St. Martha Young Adult group.
Blessings
Shannon
