Bonjour! As I peck my way on this French keyboard (that is truly foreign to me, no pun intended!!! ) I see that it will take me a year to get anything substantial across. There is not one letter or period, etc in the ‘right’ place on this keyboard. Trust me, for a writer this is a nightmare! It took me 3 min. to write that sentence!! 🙁
Yet I do want to begin on a fabulous note! Even though it is Thursday evening in Lourdes and curretly 10pm, we have been traveling since Wednesday at 9pm (at the airport since 5). The fantastic part for ME about the flight is that I got bumped up to business class!!! So nice to be able to have a little leg room, and lean back. Fr. TJ got bumped to World Class one step above business but before 1st, yet he cod ay all the waydown…oh then simple pleasures… et is it wrog to begi a pilgrimage with a luxury? 😉 Cool thing about the ticket agent tat bumped me was he apparently was interested in what we were all about and had asked many quetions… which led to our gift of luxury… then he showed up to sit with us at the gate to learn more. Yes, I got the comments about already attracting strangers, but how awesome for God to want to show up in this way so soon? 🙂 Come to find out this gentleman is Jewish but his wife is Catholic. After learning a bit more I gave him a book to give to his wife. It would be an even greater gift to hear she read it and to know her response.
The rest of the trip has been uneventful so far. Except for the fact that I am in LOURDES!!!!!! I’m going to bed NOW because I’m like a kid anticipating Santa Clause! I get to see where St. Bernadette lived where she saw the Blessed Mther ad the Grotto!! AND I’m getting in the healing waters! I can hardly contain mysef, so I need sleep.
