I met Jane Davis today!  🙂  Who is Jane Davis might you ask?

Until I walked into her production store this afternoon I only knew her as a jewelry designer that created a few pieces I have purchased from Jennika’s.  She is also the key connection in allowing one of my dreams become a reality. 😉

Jennifer Moore, of Jennika’s, sent me her way before the holidays when I realized it was time to get the Hopeful Hearts Logo made into a charm for survivors that can be both purchased and given away to survivors of abuse (something I’ve been hoping and dreaming to have done for the past five years).

Via email Jane has been an angel in walking me through this process and offering connections so that I could make this dream become a reality.  I’m finally at a place that a decision needs to be made and instead of throwing me in the fire she pulled in, Jeanne, an employ of “Not So Plain Jane” Designs to help with the communication between myself and the manufacturer of the casting.  So much of their personal time has been spent in helping me with this one small charm.  Jeanne invited me to the store today to make the phone call.

When I walked in I saw all sorts of necklaces, charms, bracelets, and a variety of Clinging Crosses, some that were the size of a pendant to be worn on a necklace or charm.   I love the Clinging Cross as it has been a source of strength for me during all of the surgeries I’ve endured.  I’ve given one to my mother for Christmas and many other as gifts to friends during times that they have needed a symbol of their own strength in Christ.  All of the Clinging Crosses intrigued me and I naively assumed that it was a product they carried or possibly reproduced.

Jeanne and I were already discussing the Hopeful Hearts charm when Jane came in and we finally got to meet in person.  Both Jane and Jeanne have gentle spirits and I could feel the Holy Spirit moving like crazy in the room!  Jane gave me a gift, a charm bracelet in which she designed every charm.  Her generosity floored me because she was already giving me so much of her time and resources.  She excused herself to her ‘creative work room’ and Jeanne and I kept working.

As Jeanne discussed different aspects I needed to consider and was showing me different designs, materials, etc it finally dawned on me that everything I had seen when I walked in the shop was designed by Jane…including the Clinging Cross.  Immediately the anticipation of finding out how this amazing piece of strength came to fruition made my heart pound with excitement .

Later, when Jeanne and I were finished with business she led me back to the creative work room and I felt like I was meeting a Holy person.  God worked through Jane to deliver such an amazing piece of art that had given me so much courage and strength in some of the most difficult and devastating moments in my life.  I couldn’t help get choked up.  In prayer I’ve been asking God to be in the driver’s seat for the creation of this charm for survivors and to think He has led me to a woman that has created another physical source of strength for me and now is helping me?

“You designed the Clinging Cross?” I asked.

She smiled, “God did.”

“I want to know how it came about.”

She explained her father had been ill and was in the hospital on his death bed when she prayed to God to give her something tangible to hold that would be a constant reminder that He was ever-present during this crisis.  She tried to hold a wall cross but it wasn’t comfortable.  During prayer God revealed to her that He would give her what she needed.  The next morning she went into her ‘creative design room’ and found a block of clay on her table.  She was a jewelry designer that worked mainly with designing charms and making jewelry, clay was not a material she used nor was she familiar with creating with clay.  She didn’t even know why it was there.  But within minutes of prayerfully putting her hands on the clay God gave her what she needed.  She said she ran through her shop holding the creation screaming.

I love that image!!! 🙂

“I can’t believe I’m meeting you!” I said.

She laughed.  “Oh get over it,” she said.

I LOVE THAT RESPONSE!! Her humility and joy are awe inspiring.  I stood there for a while as she made a saint bracelet I own that she sells in Jennika’s.  We spoke of other amazing ‘God’ moments and before I knew it, the day was gone and I needed to get the boys from school.

Another gift Jane gave me of a line of bracelets she designed. I felt this one was perfect for me :).

Jane, Jeanne and the rest of their group are a blessing to me and Hopeful Hearts.  God’s love and light shine through their beautiful smiles and giving hearts.  I still can’t come down from the Holy Spirit high! 😉

Jane, me and Jeanne...God bless them!!!

And I can’t wait to see the sample of what the Hopeful Hearts charm might look like!!! All very exciting.  Such an example of God answering prayers in His time when it is the RIGHT time. 😉

Blessings
