Today isn’t a good day. In fact, it’s probably best I use it as a ‘pass’ day and not write a blog all together. However I will say this.
There are moments every now and then where the injustice in this world binds me up and leaves me suffocating. I mean every single type of injustice. I realize that term is even relative but for this moment, if you are reading this, then I mean YOUR injustice. My tears are for you.
Does it make sense? NO! Of course not, that’s why it’s an ‘injustice’.
Why do two honest, giving people get spit on? Because in the end the enemy likes us to believe we are ‘in it for ourselves’. Well, even with the injustice in this world I’ll tell you that I find much more joy in helping others succeed and recognize their worth than I do in knocking them down.
And that’s what sets me apart…. and these tears….these tears are for the poor souls who have no idea how duped they are in receiving the emptiness of instant gratification.
One of the greatest injustice’s is the amount of perpetrators that go to their death without ever being responsible for the pain and lifelong debilitation they cause their victims. That is why April’s Sexual Abuse Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Month is SO IMPORTANT. The more we hear the TRUTH from survivors the better chance we have in saving other potential victims and stopping the cycle of this ugly and vicious evil.
Many injustice’s in this world will continue and the only way we can slow them down is to stand up for what we believe is right and to fight for those who are too weak to fight back. Or in my case SPEAK for those who can’t find their voice.
Blessings
Shannon
