I spent the day making amends to Seth and spending quality time with my boys. We went to see the movie World War Z which left me squealing like a 13 year old squeamish sissy girl. If being around someone who has a grade A+ horror film scream makes you anxious make note NOT to go to a horror film with me. I missed my calling somewhere along the way.
All is well in the Deitz household. I believe Seth and I are back on track. Minus his ‘I’m twelve going on twenty-one attitude’, we’ve been watching our summer series television and I’ve been listening to his stories of his time at camp Cho-Yeh.
I was very proud of him to have received the ‘Mr. Roger’s Award’ for his cabin. When asked why that was the award they gave him he said, “It’s because I was everyone’s friend.” 😀
Yes, that’s my boy.
Spending time with him today may not have completely made up for how he felt but at least we are both on the same path to moving forward through forgiveness and mercy.
