Do you know what I love the most about God?  He gives you the grace of a brand new day.  Since the day I gave ALL control to Him I came to this realization that just because I was in a slump one day, or even suffering through a tramatic event, those feelings of turmoil and strife did not need to be put on pause at the end of a night and then continued on the following morning.  In fact, if we are in a particular predicament that is not solved in a matter of a day, let alone months on end, then I like to look at it as if every day is a do over!  Some I get right, and well, some take me a few days to figure out.

This morning I got up and knew instantly what I needed was to get back into my ‘usual’ routine (because I’m type “A” routines make me feel safe 🙂 ).  So I said goodmorning to God before my foot touched the ground and began to say the rosary as I headed out the door for my 5am spin class.

When I got home I felt that nudge to do the morning reflection and Bible reading, this time I obliged and do you know what God told me literally in black and white? “Pray for the grace to become more discerning of the many places where God lives.” Isn’t that exactly what this project is about?  Now, do you want to know what He was TRYING to tell me yesterday?? “In your imagination, picture yourself relaxing before a wellspring of flowing water.  Pray that the spirit may wash you clean of selfishness.” (Quotes taken from Philip St. Romain’s “Praying the Daily Gospels- A guide to meditation”)

I don’t know about you, but the way I know God is that He must love to laugh!  If I had stopped what I was doing yesterday when I felt called do you know I would have owned that qoute and saved myself anxiety?  HA!  Four days into this and look at what I’m learning!

So, today I received my lesson early.  And I was better for it too.  This time when I felt the nudge of the spirit to stop and listen and actually ‘do’ what I was called like when my kids wanted to play games or when I wanted to time the Asthma doctor to see if he would make us wait another hour (like before) to see us just so I could give him a piece of my mind about everyone’s time being valuable, but instead he took only 7 minutes and 9 seconds before walking in…listening to God truly made for a much more pleasant day.  🙂

On a side note:

Many of you have asked to see pictures of the before and after of the doors (and the culprit) so here you go!
