We all have seen the devastation on the news about the horrendous 7.0 Earthquake in Haiti. Our Young Professionals group was/is set to go on a mission in Haiti in May and have been working with a particular small village outside of Port a Prince.
It’s obvious our mission will turn into a relief effort but there is still much we can do NOW to help them. To do an effort through my position at the parish I have to wait and see which route the Archdiocese is calling for us to help in relief…but on a PERSONAL effort I would like to post the website to the group that we are working with to do our mission in May.
It’s www.hhelpingh.org and Connie is flying back to Haiti as soon as they open up any air travel to set up a soup kitchen for the village. ALL (100%) funds donated will go towards this soup kitchen.
As soon as I know what else we have in mind (a possible blanket drive) I will post ASAP.
