Tonight was epic. Dear friends put on a personal celebration and signing party to ‘launch’ the book. I can’t find the words to express my gratitude and love to all who were involved. To be able to have so many in one room that have personally touched me and my family in some way and to share with them this life long accomplishment had me speechless (which is hard to do!!).
To end the evening on such a great note was also an accomplishment because the devil tried every little way to sabotage the evening. All was well till my husband began to discuss finances as I was getting ready for the evening. He doesn’t pay attention to anything and when he finally takes notice he suddenly has all these questions. I don’t mind him having questions and I’m grateful he wants to pay attention and be aware…however, this was not exactly the most opportune time to discuss the one issue that can cause us to fight. Which it did.
In seconds flat I went from being excited and elated to a sudden drop off a cliff into worry and despair. It was so drastic that I couldn’t help but smell the rat that snuck in unforeseen. I knew that the evening was going to allow the platform to discuss the Maria Goretti Network and bringing support to abuse survivors. I also wanted to proclaim the Bible verse that brought me to Exposed (Ephesians 5:6-14).
Thankfully I have learned to recognize this and began to pray. I’ve learned that one of my greatest defenses is to pray Hail Mary’s till all the emotions and worry that is not of God go away. And it works! 🙂
The night was a success. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
