It is 12:08am and I am beyond exhausted.  I have to get up in 4 hours and I have yet to get out of my jeans.  Forgive me if this is not a ‘normal’ entry but I don’t want to miss out on God’s majesty for the day.  I will break it down and hopefully have more energy to truly discuss in a later entry.

Today is the last day before our big Garage O’Rama at the parish.  It is from 6:30am to 1pm tomorrow and we have been preparing all week.  I showed up today at 9am only to find we had so much STUFF we were already busting out the seams and we still had more donations rolling in.  We are grateful….but…whew….

By 9:30am I found out about 16 year old Joseph who fell and suffered a severe brain injury.  His parents were huge supporters of the youth group at St. Martha and on my Core Team for years.  Parents had already set up a prayer service for 10:30 by the time I found out.

10:30am we had a chapel full of teens praying for Joseph.  1/2 way into a rosary we found out he came out of a surgery that he was predicted not to make.  Praise be to God it was the first miracle! 🙂

We then decided to reconvene at the church at 8:00pm for a prayer service.

Back to the garage sale… more stuff…kept coming…augh!

By 1pm I had to leave and take Ryan to the Asthma doctor.  We were there for 1 1/2 HOURS and only saw the doctor for 5 minutes!!!!! AUGH

In the doctor’s office I receive a phone call from a young man who was given my card.  He was at the chapel last night and needed help so the person that was in there gave him my card.  He needed to meet today.  So I told him I’d meet with him at 6:30pm.

By 3:30 made it home in time to head back out and get my kids ready for CAMP! They leave SUNDAY!!! Yes,… I’m crazy.  Why did I schedule all this at the same time?????

By 5:30pm I had rushed home with FOOD for 6 MEN because Neal had also set up REDOING THE BACK YARD FENCE  beginning today!!! AUGH

I literally gulped a KFC wing, put on better clothes, combed my greesy hair and went BACK to the church.  Realized we had so much stuff we have to have the garage sale in TWO BUILDINGS.  AUGH!!

Met with the young man at 6:30…such a ‘God thing’…I want to tell more but will have to wait for a later date.

7:30 quickly priced more things then went to the church for the prayer service… beautiful and full of hope.  His mom came and she is a woman of great strength and so filled with His love and light.  Awesome.  But it is such a touch and go for Joseph so KEEP PRAYING.  The prayer service lasted awhile.  Kids and parents got up to speak encouraging words about Joseph…such a great community that we have. 🙂

I didn’t get out of there till 10pm…then back to the garage sale.

Now I’m home…and now have 3.40 hours to sleep.

Love you God.  🙂

Blessings
