My living room looks like it’s been ransacked by a clothes hound. I have piles of clothes everywhere waiting for me to pick out what to take for each and every member of my family including me! Ugh, packing for four people. I tried to get the kids to pack themselves…hence how the piles of clothes began to GROW in the living room. No…I guess packing to them is trying to bring the entire contents of their room with them!!
It’s 6pm and I don’t feel that I’ve accomplished much. 🙁 Now, I’ve been asked by my husband to go to Target and get him some more ‘casual’ shorts. It’s 6pm and we leave tomorrow morning. Hm
Forgive me but I’m praying God sends down an angel of organization and time management because at this rate I’m becoming a bit more frazzled every second. 😉 My HOPE is that this can be a ‘real’ vacation…the kind that I can get the opportunity to read all 4 books I’ve picked up from the library and catch as much sun as possible, feeling the tension seep out of my every pore within the first day. My FEAR is that it will be more of a ‘trip’, you know where I am busy making sure I don’t hear ‘I’m bored’ for the 50th time in one day and have to wear a referee shirt because the space we are sharing is 1/4 of what we live in on a day to day basis.
But all of that is selfishness. What I’m EXCITED about is that the boys get to see a BLUE ocean for the first time. I’m looking forward to having more moments to have memorable moments and meaningful conversations. Let’s get real, I have a 12 and 9 year old…I just want quality time with them and I’m so blessed to have this opportunity. And, yes, I do want to be able to get at least through 2 books! 🙂
We do have internet at the beach so if you want you can keep up with the mayhem!
Blessings
