Sunset

Our last sunset in Ormond Beach, Florida

We ended our trip with a beautiful sunset and quiet family evening…knowing full well that the minute our plane landed we would be full throttle back to life.

Sunrise

The glory of God rising up to meet us on this gorgeous day.

And as the sun rose this morning I had to take one last picture to keep in memory of the majesty of God.  I find beauty in all of His nature, and I feel very blessed to be living in the “Livable Forest” but a sunrise over the ocean brings about a particular ‘awe’ in my admiration of Him.

Vacation quickly ended as we settled in the very back row of the very tiny plane…and then at on the runway for over an hour…waiting.  For what?  Well, apparently the weather was bad in Houston so they were working on rerouting our flight and once they came upon a compromise they realized we needed more fuel…so we headed back to the gate.  🙁  I’m sure you can only imagine what it’s like to have two adolescent boys that have been for the most part on their best behavior for 7 entire days and now they are stuck in a sardine can with no where to go.  Ugh.

Once we finally landed in Houston there wasn’t much rain and I will give thanks to God for saving us the torrential downpour until we were safely in the house.  But this wasn’t until after we had received a dozen texts and voice mails that our alarm system had gone off.  The maid was there to clean the house and the pour woman was facing the police inquisition and we were en-route! Poor woman, I’m sure she was scared to death!  Then I don’t want to mention the $$ I had to give up today in order to get my vehicle back (though I will say my mechanic is an angel as it very well should have been triple the cost he charged us!!!) and then another huge chunk to get my dogs out of the Vet!  *sigh*  It’s just money, right?  I’m thankful that we had it to pay. Right?

And so here we are, at home…and the boys can’t seem to stand each other.  What do I have to offer as an incentive??  Why can’t they just want to be kind to one another?  Yes, vacation has ended.  Or at least mine has. 😉  Now to keep the boys busy for another 6 weeks.

Blessings
