It’s late. I’m tired. But today was a good day. This morning I woke up wanting to go right back to sleep but there was something inside that I couldn’t ignore. I wanted to reconnect with God on a personal level and begin this day right. I knew I had all day, no major engagements and I wanted to show that I could feel good about every aspect of how I spent the day.
I went and worked out, came back just as the kids were getting up. We went for a bike ride and got their hair cuts and when we got back home I did a good portion of the Cornerstone Bible study. Around noon Neal came home from golfing and we watched a movie together and then I worked on writing the fiction series, the Sophie Chronicles.
We ended the day by going to dinner with some friends we’ve been meaning to connect with but always had some obstacle get in the way and later had them and their kids over to talk and hang out. It was pleasant and stress free. There was no major revelation for the day except that I made the choice to get up and make the most of what God was going to give me.
And that choice made all the difference in the world.
Now, pray for me tomorrow. I’ll be speaking in Friendswood, Texas at a LIFENIGHT on the occult. I enjoy this topic but it is one that needs plenty of prayer. I’ll fill you in on how it goes tomorrow evening!
Blessings
Shannon
