God is so GOOD!  I’m still on a high from the good news!  God never ends with how He tries to reach out to us and for some reason, through this daily meditation MY Daily Bread, He is giving me an insight into these daily struggles as if it is clearly FROM HIS MOUTH.  Let me give you just a taste of what I read yesterday:

“When a man of good will is bothered by evil thoughts and inclinations, he understands more deeply how much he needs God.  He is impressed by his natural weakness in trying to live a good life…  Fear not!  Have confidence in God!  After such a storm you will be as strong as ever…. You will come out of this trial a better and wiser man.”  WOW

Let me do a sidebar here by expressing that temptations aren’t always what we presume them to be on surface (ie: drinking, drugs, adultery, etc etc)  they are really anything (THOUGHTS, FEELINGS and EMOTIONS) that tend to keep us away from God.  My ‘temptation’ in all that happened this weekend was how I was going to take this ‘news’ if it were to be ‘bad’.  I didn’t pray to God in the beginning because I was mad and angry (I gave into the temptation)…I hope that clears this up a bit.

And today…

“Temptations are often very profitable to you, distressing and troublesome though they may be.  They help to lessen your foolish pride by showing you your weaknesses….They can purify your soul by forcing you to resist evil and practice virtue.  Temptations prove the real worth of your virtues.”

AMEN

With this lessen under my belt God called me ‘back to work ‘today.  I had phone call after phone call, meeting after meeting with various people, all with their need to discuss this ’emptiness’ they have inside and I got to minister to them calling them to CHRIST.  WHAHOO! 🙂  I love it!

And now, I get to go to work (literally) and begin another Catholics Returning Home session tonight!  I’m so EXCITED!  It’s going to be great!  I just love it when the spirit moves in people and they feel a longing.

If you are going through a ‘temptation’ period (as we ALL will off and on…sometimes ONNNNN more than OFF) please take comfort in this post.  Do not give up (or in) and trust that God is working through you, in you, for you and creating you into the BEST YOU He has made you to be!

Blessings
