May God bless you ALL on this Thanksgiving day!  Do you know what I’m most thankful for?  The fact that this day went without any major family issue or blow out!! 🙂  I’m pleasantly surprised at how ‘easy’ the day has been, and maybe a little ashamed that I was anticipating a day full of chaos.  I managed with a little reminder from the My Daily Bread book telling me to work harder at taking on the day as Jesus would want me to.  That is no easy feat as I know we all realize.  And then my wonderful friend Michelle comes over and her motto is: “What can you do?”

Exactly.

All she had to do was say it one time and I stopped and let it all go – all of my neurosis’s and anxieties.  Now I just need her to say that to me on Saturday as well when I have my sister and nephews come in.  😉  Thankfully, the devotion in My Daily Bread acknowledged that striving to perfection is a daily battle.  I’m grateful that Jesus offers mercy and grace, I’m grateful that we have family  and friends to share this day and I’m grateful that we had more than enough food to eat and the kids all got along.

And I’m thankful for naps. 🙂

Blessings
