After all of these days of ‘anticipation’ and ‘waiting’ I can say I finally had the chance to spend time in quiet with my Lord in adoration this morning, finally reveling in the gift of what is to come.
It is always hard to get up at 3:35am to head to adoration but I can’t say no either. I owe Him everything and I know that spending that hour in adoration lends to greater clarity and peace in the end. It was a great way to begin this Christmas Eve.
The other gift I received today besides being with family and friends this evening was having the time to watch the movie Extraordinary Measures. GREAT MOVIE. This man did not give up in order to save his children and it was obvious that God was directing his decisions along the way. Inspiring and motivating I give the movie an A+.
Tomorrow after the gifts are attacked we are headed to my parents place in North Texas. I pray each and every one of you enjoy your family and remain safe in your travels.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Friday of the Fourth Week of Advent
Readings: 2 Sm 7:1-5, 8b-12, 14a, 16; Lk 1:67-79
In the tender compassion of our God
the dawn from on high shall break upon us,
to shine on those who dwell in darkness
and the shadow of death,
and to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Lk 1:78-79
Joy is the true gift of Christmas, not expensive presents that
demand time and money. We can transmit this joy simply:
with a smile, with a kind gesture, with some small help, with
forgiveness. Let us give this joy and the joy given will be
returned to us.
