I’m beat. It’s been a long but gratifying day. Neal and I began the morning praying together, praising God for what He has given us and asking for the courage and grace to see our situation and those around us with His eyes.
Later in the day Neal says the ‘powers that be’ at the company came together and went over everything and recognized the ‘wrong’…and YES they are correcting it! Praise be to God!
If that wasn’t the greatest gift to receive I also had the great honor of speaking at St. Elizabeth Anne Seaton’s XLT evening on Forgiveness and Redemption. The Holy Spirit was so ALIVE in these teens and adults that I could feel the spirit pulsing about the room. There is nothing better than to be able to share how He redeemed me and then to pray with others and to help them recognize their worth. I LOVE IT!!
Thank you God!
The David Crowder Band sings a son that I embrace every time I’m feeling the need to be forgiven and heard by Him. It’s called “How He Loves” and I listened to it on the way home and it continues in my head. I can’t think of a better way to close out this entry.
He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves.
We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…
He loves us, oh how He loves us, oh how He loves us, oh how He loves….
Blessings
Shannon
