When the angles come down from Heaven to give me a boost and help me actually accomplish many things in one day I like to call it a pro-duct-ive day.  I can’t say it all together, something about it is just not southern enough and doesn’t give enough emphasis on the PRO portion of the word. 🙂

Neal woke up more of a ‘cub’ this morning than a bear which is pretty docile considering he is on day 3 of being tobacco-less.  If any teens are reading this blog, LEARN THE LESSON EARLY THROUGH NEAL do not even try nicotine in any form or fashion!

God bless him, though, your prayers are being heard because even though he is uptight and on edge he is also working extra hard to keep his usual calm, cool and collected demeanor.  (That’s on the outside, Lord only knows what he’s saying on the inside!)

As for my pro-duct-ive day…I had the help of many friends as well to keep me on task.  Thanks to Candice for your consistent (persistent?? 🙂 ) encouragement, Jenny for reading and editing the absolute final copy of EXPOSED in literally two days and helping me go back and find one major word I needed to capitalize (which I won’t mention here as it is so embarrassing that I didn’t have it correct, but it’s a Catholic thing which is why the editor did not change it), and Trey for also editing on the side as well (who knew he could be so picky!).

There was so much more I wanted to do (not needed, but wanted) in the day but knowing I got that done and out of the way was a huge relief!  And here is the best part of the day…which is so bad but felt so good…I got to prove I was right!  I had to go to a meeting in the middle of the day at the church and because I was at work I checked emails and naturally got sucked into an issue that needed to be handled.  It was in reference to our World Youth Day trip coming up in 2011 and the email was from the travel agent’s accounting department.  They were trying to argue that we had an outstanding balance from our latest payment and I knew we didn’t because I’m anal about who turned in what, the check number, etc etc.  The emails to me weren’t rude…yet they were politely haughty…if you know what I mean…so I politely wrote back a very detailed email explaining the issue and how they were clearly either missing a deposit or something.  Sure enough, they responded that they received an updated accounting sheet that showed the latest deposit and we did have a credit and not a deficit!

It was nice to be right mainly because this was OUR (all the pilgrims) money they were talking about here…but, I don’t know, after going through so much stuff with Neal’s work, I guess it just felt nice to be on this end.

I might write tomorrow recognizing that maybe I’m not having the best attitude but I can’t help but think that God is also smiling with me. 🙂

Blessings
