I’m a bit early today because I found out we do not have internet at the beach house.  I will only be missing Day 9 …BUT I do have my journal, so I’m keeping true to my personal goal and will post day 9 Sunday early afternoon and then day 10 that evening.

Coincidence is each persons perspective…I personally don’t believe in coincidence’s because my interaction with the Holy Spirit is such that I tend to see how everything is truly orchestrated by His hand AND dependent upon OUR free will.  As I state in my book, EXPOSED, I do not necessarily like the phrase ‘everything happens for a reason’ either.  Not that I don’t agree with it, but I do believe our free will choices  and our decision to follow God’s will vs. giving into our own desires without discernment or direction can cause a detour off of our purpose.  AND sometimes we get ‘drawn’ into other people’s misguided decisions which lend to pretty tragic circumstances.  It’s how we REACT and what we DO going forward that can make for a positive outcome.

If you are joining me on this journey then you need to know that about me.  I’m not asking you to agree, just explaining my way thinking.  With that being said, I love love love that I had a neat little gift today.  After these last two days of this journey I was coming down on myself pretty hard about my mothering skills.  Last night, out of the blue, my mom drove the 4.5 hr drive from Sherman to visit us and do a quick visit to a child she counsels through CASA.  Mom and I spent the morning together, talked about all the things we didn’t get to catch up on over Christmas because it was so hectic, and were able to simply enjoy one another.

I almost feel spoiled in this moment.  I had adoration with our Lord this morning, a full of hour of deep prayer and meditation with Him, then time to be a ‘kid’ and remember that the young years are tough, parenting is hard but in the end we all grow up and love overrides everything and now I get to immerse myself in a two day retreat of prayer, meditation and FUN.

Maybe sometimes ‘showing up’ is just saying ‘Thank you God!”

Blessings
