For a pretty monotonous day there were many ‘little’ moments where God grabbed me and wrapped me tighter in His embrace.
For instance, this morning I was checking emails and cleaning up around the computer when I found a small piece of paper with Seth’s hand writing. It was wedged underneath the laptop so I pulled it out and read with pride:
Although I may go to sleep at night
I keep in touch with Jesus Christ
I lay there dreaming
Silently knowing that Jesus is always guarding me
I don’t know if this is a ‘completed’ work so I shoved it back under the laptop and hopefully tomorrow I’ll get to see if there is more. But who needs more? ! After all these weeks and months of agonizing over whether I am doing anything right with my kids my biggest prayer for them is answered – that they will have a will to want a relationship with God throughout every stage of their life. He will be 9 next week… trust me, this prayer will never cease! Teenage years are around the corner!
This afternoon I received a prayer request email from our prayer chain and the woman that writes the emails told me to direct my attention to the picture she chose at the end of the email. She said she had me in mind when she chose it:
The caption is what gets me, “I never said it would be easy…I only said it would be worth it.” Jesus
Amen!
And now, to top the evening off, an email from our TAX MAN… bahm bahm bahm….
This year we aren’t giving, we are receiving!! (a chorus of angels rise to the occasion, lifting their trumpets and rejoicing for a miracle has befallen the Deitz family!) 🙂
Only by the grace of God.
Yes, today was a good day.
Blessings
Shannon
