I love Feel Good Saturday’s because the name says it all:
I FEEL GOOD!
This morning I dropped Ryan off at his drama rehearsal and heard this new song by Shawn McDonald who happens to be one of my FAVORITE Christian Singers. One cool fact, I was in Tennessee for a wedding when he came to our St. Mary’s seminary for a concert and my youth group knew I loved him so much they called me on my cell and he TALKED TO ME on the phone! It was the sweetest gift they could give me, I’ll never forget it. 😉
I downloaded RISE instantly and have been singing it all day!
It is my new ‘feel good’ song and it is what ‘hit’ me today so I am sharing it with you! (Again, I have not found a way to include the YouTube video in my post…all suggestions have not worked 🙁 so please take time to click on it. You’ll LOVE it! 😉 )

Lyrics to the song:
“Rise”
[Chorus]
Yes I will rise
Out of these ashes rise
From this trouble I have found
And this rubble on the ground
I will rise
Cause He Who is in me
Is greater than I will ever be
And I will rise
Sometimes my heart is on the ground
And hope is nowhere to be found
Love is a figment I once knew
And yet I hold on to what I know is true
[Chorus]
Yes I will rise
Out of these ashes rise
From this trouble I have found
And this rubble on the ground
I will rise
Cause He Who is in me
Is greater than I will ever be
And I will rise
Well I keep on coming to this place
That I don’t know quite how to face
So I lay down my life in hopes to die
That somehow I might rise
[Chorus]
Yes I will rise
Out of these ashes rise
From this trouble I have found
And this rubble on the ground
I will rise
Cause He Who is in me
Is greater than I will ever be
And I will rise
Blessings
