I have a special story I want to share about a new non-profit that helps veterans heal but I want to wait till I can get more information to highlight it at one time.  However, I’m mentioning it because I got to meet with Richard Casper, the founder, and US Veteran Thursday night which was a great way to turn around an awful day.

All day yesterday and today Neal and I have been with friends in Austin, TX celebrating our friend, Tiffany’s, birthday. Neal and I needed this weekend to have one long ‘date night’ to reconnect and enjoy one another’s company.

A hidden speak easy bar called The Firehouse in a hotel in Austin. It's a MUST SEE whether you enjoy a drink or not.

It was hidden behind a secret bookcase in the hotel lobby.

After a drink at the Firehouse we went to Eddie V's and came upon a table in front of the jazz group playing for the evening. They were all blind! The main singer was reading his lyrics through brail. They were amazing. For a night not planned out it was one of the best we've enjoyed in a while.

So far the weekend has been perfect. No set plans. Exploring Austin and it’s hidden treasures. Great company. Great food. Good times.

This morning we found this breakfast hot spot called the BACON. Every item on the menu had bacon. A-MAZING.

Keeping in tune with keeping it simple this Christmas. Enjoying every moment as it comes. Praising God for the blessings.

Blessings
