Dramatic title don’t you think? LIFE

Ask any person around you… or think about your own… what is LIFE to them right now? What is it to you?

Are you frustrated because LIFE doesn’t seem to be going your way?

Is LIFE kicking you in the butt?

Does LIFE hold no respect or regard for timing? I mean, come on! SO MUCH AT ONE TIME??

Want to tell LIFE to take a hike, it’s playing unfair?

Can’t live up to LIFE’S expectations?

LIFE IS SO DEMANDING! Gosh…

So, let’s try this… what if you take away YOUR expectations? What if you take away YOUR demands? What if you give in to what LIFE IS for you right now and DO LIFE DIFFERENTLY?

Perspective is key, correct?

I am looking ahead to a week I dread. RAI – Radiation and isolation for thyroid cancer. Yet, I get off the phone with another thyroid cancer patient who had the original thyroid cancer five years ago (mind you she was in her TEENS and is now married with a 10mo old daughter)  who was told it has returned in her lungs and will be coming to MDA end of May for surgery to SAVE HER LIFE…

My house is her house. Get this, met her through her older sister who heard me speak at their HIGH SCHOOL (ummm…) 8 – 9 years ago?? They live in North Dakota.  Her sister has guest blogged for me. A brave survivor who walks the journey of healing in this LIFE. And now I get to be a part of their LIFE in a very delicate time.

Yes, perspective.

LIFE throws us curve balls.

LIFE is unpredictable.

LIFE is ruthless.

LIFE is glorious.

Because we all want the MOST OF OUT OF OUR LIFE.

So, with that in mind, even as I truthfully sit here struggling to stay focused…. crawling out of my skin with irritability because I am not on thyroid meds, to prep for radiation….and honestly, I’m a bit nervous to become ‘radioactive’… I will remember WHO GAVE ME LIFE.

The one who gave me LIFE sacrificed His own for MY ETERNAL LIFE.

And THAT  is what I LIVE FOR – LIFE ETERNAL.

Blessings

Shannon
