It was a busy busy day. Barely had time to think and didn’t grab a bite to eat till 7:30pm! The day began rather pleasant and with hope of organization and knocking off some ‘to do’s’ until I received the dreaded phone call from the school nurse at 10am. “Seth is in the clinic…”
Ugh. 🙁 Poor guy. Stomach issues. Needed to come home. Amazing how that little thirty minute detour in the day was like knocking a domino tile in a large domino maze. One gets knocked and they all fall down.
Having a counseling session in the middle of the day probably didn’t help my state of mind for the rest of the day either. It is a relief to hear that she feels I’m managing well considering what has been uncovered, however, she put the ball in my court to decide how far I want to go in remembering and facing the detailed truth. I’ve decided I will work on it in order to give the little girl within me a voice, for her to say ‘this happened, this made me feel this way, and I don’t like what it did to me for years to come.’
All the reason why it is a BLESSING to see YOUR STORIES in my IN BOX and reading your POSITIVE MESSAGES of how overcame and found hope in the struggle. Keep them coming! I want to post as many as I can the month of APRIL which is Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Awareness month. For details on what to submit and where click HERE.
Another positive message I received this morning was the following YouTube video. In the light of the media flubbing the coverage of the Steubenville Rape Case I commend this young man for posting this. However, I’ll add my own side note….I just wish it weren’t so prevalent that a young woman would be found incoherent. 🙁
What a guy SHOULD do if in the unfortunate predicament.
Blessed be to God for ending my day on a super positive note! Spent the evening registering Ryan at St. Thomas Catholic High School. So proud of him! As a mom it was a great feeling to see him excited and to know he is exactly where he wants to be.
Tough, long day but still many positive messages along the way. What was your positive message today?
Blessings
Shannon
