Saturday (Day 128) I spent heading to Ben Taub trauma center to be with a family that has been through heartbreaking loss. Now they have their youngest son/brother fighting for his life.
Out of respect for the family and their privacy I don’t want to disclose any details but I do want to ask for everyone to pray for Casey. He is a senior in high school. And pray for his sisters who have suffered loss in their young life before who are having a hard time seeing their brother in this situation. And for the safety of the father who is still on his way home from an overseas business trip…pray for God’s grace to secure his heart on this long trip home. And for the stepmother who has been with them all since they were very young, not a ‘step’ mom at all but a mother suffering on this Mother’s Day.
I pray you all enjoy this Mother’s Day, embracing the gift God has given in having a mother, and possibly even the joy and blessing of being a mother.
