I’ve mentioned in a few recent blogs that I have been going through a deep hurt that set me back a bit.  I found it difficult to write at this time so I apologize if the blogs have not been as forthcoming as usual.  Thankfully I will say all is well.  🙂

Jerry Weber, with Catholic Revolver asked me to send him a video for the Just Show Up audio segment I do for his website.  God’s timing is key and having come out of His refining fire I also was given a new view on a few things in life that enhanced my awareness of what it is God is calling me to.

But that is how God does it…He knows the pace we need and He reveals himself in moments of time. Feel free to watch the Just Show Up video segment on Catholicrevolver.com.

I also taped a talk I did for the ARISE program at our church.  Take in mind this one is a bit longer and harder to hear just because I have to stay put at the stand and it is DURING adoration so I didn’t want to disturb anyone who might have been in their own personal prayer moment.  This talk addresses learning God’s voice and accepting our lives in the moment, accepting that God took the past back so we must live forgiven, and the only way we can live with our future is through hope.

It is the ‘Year of Faith’ for the Catholic Church, also being referred to as the New Evangelization.  Many Catholics from across the US are making it a personal goal to read through the Catholic Catechism in one year.  For those of you who are not Catholic the Catechism is a book containing a summary of the principles of the Christian religion, especially maintained by the Catholic church.

Essentially the goal is to be a more informed and educated Catholic on not only our faith but why do we do what we do, or why are we called to what we do, or what exactly does it mean to say ‘we believe’ in any aspect of our faith.

I have the pleasure of receiving a daily email with a segment of the Catechism to read for the day and yesterday’s segment ended with this nugget of truth:

“The divine plan of Revelation is realized simultaneously “by deeds and words which are intrinsically bound up with each other” and shed light on each another. It involves a specific divine pedagogy: God communicates himself to man gradually. He prepares him to welcome by stages the supernatural Revelation that is to culminate in the person and mission of the incarnate Word, Jesus Christ.” CC Article 1:53

Just as we are in the natural progression of physical growth and maturity we have the same progression spiritually.  “But you cannot see my face, for no one can see me and live.”  Exodus 33:20

Having taped the ‘Refiner’s Fire’ segment and have come out of this ‘stage’ I can clearly understand this segment of the catechism and the bible verse that correlates.  If I were to know the pain and joy that is in store for me I’m not sure I would want to move forward.  I’d imagine viewing the suffering that we will all surely feel with the loss of loved ones is alone too much to witness beforehand, let alone the other natural tragedies…and as for the joys…I can honestly say if I were to see all of the good that was set by God to come my way I would feel so unworthy and humbled by the magnitude that it would be unbearable to imagine I could deserve it all.

Thank God, He is GOD and I am not! 😉

Blessings
