70 degrees, sun shine, a spattering of clouds, brownies baking in the oven… makes for a ‘Super Sunday’.
Their are moments we complain and moan about not having ‘seasons’ in the Houston area but on days like this in early February…well…they cant be beat. It makes you wake up and want to take charge, DO SOMETHING with the day so Seth set out and decided he wanted to earn a few bucks for his ‘savings jar’.
Is it right that my son sends me the following text while he is sitting outside? : “Can this be my Mass? I’m reading the Gospel, I’m with God by myself and I’m collecting money for a cause.”
“What’s the cause?” I text back.
“Next Mass I’m giving $5 from what I make.”
“Oh, good. Then you can give it tonight when you go to MASS because right now you have no EUCHARIST.”
“My lollipop is the Eucharist and my lemonade is the wine.”
🙂 I love my son but he is going to MASS tonight.
I do realize it is Super Bowl Sunday as well though I am not a fan I will enjoy watching the commercials and putting a few bucks in the pot to see if my squares can double my money. 🙂 Now if the Texans had made it I might be a bit more interested…maybe next year. 😉 So I am still reading at the LIFETEEN Mass tonight even if I miss a commercial or two.
Excuse me while I go and enjoy the rest of the day God gave. I pray you enjoy yours as well. Oh and I uploaded the last segment to the Gift of Sexuality talk:
Gift of Sexuality Part II (Focus’ on what society has made of our GIFT of Sexuality and how we can come back to purity…and a special message to those that have been abused and never asked to give of their gift in the first place.)
Blessings
