What a glorious feeling to be on the ‘other side’ of the mountain! The best part of this particular journey was all of those who came along with me!

Never before have I felt so much love and support in prayer and concern for me and my family. Not that it wasn’t ever apparent before but I’m certain social media plays a big part in allowing so many to be informed, therefore given the opportunity to reach out and share the love and prayers.

FaceBook friends were my distraction which allowed each hour between our updates to go by quickly and instead of thinking about how the doctor’s were in Seth’s heart, shocking it and zapping things inside I read post after post of prayer wishes.

Gathering of community to pray the night before, not only for Seth but for all of our special intentions.

I realize that social media can become a crux for many but if used in this positive way it is a great tool to encourage, uplift and support.

Seth made it through his procedure with flying colors. We are now 2 hours into the 6 hour recovery period and within days he’s allowed to be back to school and within just one week playing sports and being a normal kid.

What an added surprise! Seeing one of my 'kids' from youth ministry so many years ago! He is now on his way to his medical residency in Atlanta!

I can breathe, concentrate and get back to being ME again as well! Praise be to God!

Thank you all for your prayers. Next time you’re on FaceBook don’t hesitate to read through the news feed, offer up some prayers and when you find yourself at the base of your next mountain needing company on the way up, consider putting it out there…prayers are the best companion!

Blessings
